Best Place to Buy Cabinets in Green Bay

Elegant Cabinets is the best place to buy cabinets in Green Bay because we take custom cabinetry very seriously. Many of our competitors produce a majority of their cabinets using laminated particle board to save you money. You think you’re getting a great deal but you’re not! Their cabinets don’t stand up to moisture or heat very well which can cost you more in the long run.

All of our cabinets are produced from premium wood and high-quality hardware. We use paint grade maple, oak, pine, birch, poplar, and walnut to name a few. When it comes to countertops we have hundreds of high-quality stone products for you to choose from. Countertops by Classic Marblof Arther, Inc., Caesar Stone, Natural Quartz, and Damar Natural Stone Imports.

When it comes to the quality of craftsmanship at Elegant Cabinets we’re second to none. Our quality control process ensures each client that they’ll be getting showroom quality cabinets. Nothing leaves our shop unless it’s perfect!

This is why Elegant Cabinets is the best place to buy cabinets in Green Bay. We also serve many clients from Green Bay to Chicago and as far west as Minneapolis.

Why Are We So Good?

Custom Cabinets

We love when a client gives us a raving review likes Leslie’s. It makes us feel good. In fact, it makes us feel like every second we’ve put into that project was worth it and then some. As AJ once mentioned in our vlog, when a client feels good about what we’ve made, it makes us feel good too. When a client isn’t satisfied (which is rare) we won’t finish the project until they are pleased. It’s a policy of ours to walk away from every project with a happy client.

I’m about to get philosophical here.

When you spend time building custom cabinets week in and week out you learn something that you may not have in a previous project. There may be a small detail we’ve never had to apply before or a detail that’s rare for a cabinetry project. Often, we have very unique, artsy projects that require us to think way outside of the box and we really like that. This stretches us and makes our crew of craftsmen that much better. It also provides a sense of adventure during the production process which keeps everyone inspired.

A big part of what makes us good is the diversity of our projects combined with our collective skills and attention to quality. Everything just coalesces together to create something awesome for each custom cabinet project we work on. But when it really comes down to the real reason we’re so good, our clients hold the cards. We are nothing without our clients and we are thankful for each and every one of them. They keep us building, they keep us installing, and they keep us inspired. We greatly appreciate each and every client we have. If we created your cabinets or you’re thinking about hiring us to do so, Thank you!

Longlais Project Installation Part One

This week we’re joined by our client – and very talented photographer – Jenny Longlais for the Longlais Project. We’re starting our installation process by putting in the kitchen and mudroom cabinets. Watch this week’s video to see our progress and to hear what Jenny has to say about the whole process.

“It’s nice working with a crew of guys that know what they’re doing.” Jenny Longlais
As cabinet builders, it’s an honor hearing our clients say things like that.

If you have questions about this project or any other home renovation project, feel free to send them to us. We’d love to answer them.

Making Cabinet Doors for the Longlais Project

In this vlog episode 005, AJ gives us an overview of how the custom cabinet doors are made.

Every part of what we do at Elegant Cabinets is based on a detailed drawing which we bring to life. Cabinet doors are no exception. Each door is cut and assembled based on very specific dimensions which will match up to the custom cabinets they’re going to be affixed to. It’s certainly not a complex process by any means but it does demand great attention to detail.

If you have any questions about this project or a project you’re considering starting, please email us any questions you may have and we’d be glad to answer them.

Thanks for watching and have an awesome day!

7 Signs That It’s Time For New Cabinets

If you’re current countertops and cabinets weren’t made from superior materials or maintained well over the years you’re probably ready for a fresh clean look. If you’re not convinced, here are 7 Signs That It’s Time For New Cabinets!

  1. If you’re expanding or rearranging your kitchen it may be easier to just plan for new cabinetry. Many times the same cabinets can’t be reused after a renovation like this so it’s better to plan for a whole new look.
  2. If someone in your home – or a previous owner – were a smoker it may have added that gross yellowish film to all of the surfaces in your kitchen. Any smoke damage will ruin your cabinetry, robbing it of a clean look.
  3. Your countertops are simply outdated. If your home hasn’t had any cosmetic updates in the last twenty years chances are it looks it’s age.
  4. You’re selling your home and want to increase its value. This is a big one! Most home buyers want a house with a great kitchen. If yours is old or falling apart it’s going to discourage prospective buyers from moving forward with the sale.
  5. If your current countertops are warped, have burns on them, cracks along the surfaces or they’re pealing, it is time for new countertops. If you’re going to rip out your old countertops you may want to resurface your current cabinets to make them “like new” or go with a whole new look structurally.
  6. If you need to accommodate a family member in a wheelchair you will want to install lower countertops and lower island top.
  7. If you have outdated appliances, an old sink, or are thinking about installing new lighting, it may be time to update those old cabinets as well.

I encourage you to consider whether or not it’s time to update that old kitchen.

Why We Video Blog (Vlog)

In the pilot episode of our video blog (vlog) we were going for a humorous approach to grab viewers but that approach didn’t seem to convey our genuine expertise. I took stock of what was working and what  NEEDED to change. I like certain elements of it but it wasn’t something I’d want to subscribe to myself. Then it dawned on, what we have to offer is very PBS-like so why not take a few cues from one of my favorite shows of all time, Ask This Old House.

That’s when the vlog really began to evolve into what is it today. It’ll continue to evolve as we explore the creative possibilities of vlogging.
Here’s the million dollar question, Why do we vlog at all? It’s hard to fit any sort of shooting schedule around the constant ebb and flow to custom cabinet orders and installations. Sure, it’s very challenging yet incredibly rewarding at the same time. Which brings me to the “Why”.

There are three very specific reasons why we produce video content.
1. To establish a solid bond with our current and potential clients. What I mean when I say that is we highlight and sort of celebrate our clients through our videos. Each video we’ve done so far for our vlog is about a client project we’ve worked on. It gives that client and their community a look into the development of their products before the install. I like to think of it like a restaurant where you can see your food being made. It makes you feel better about what you’re putting into your body. A similar principle is applied here. My favorite part of this is getting to help build our clients excitement about the new cabinetry. I should note that we don’t make videos for each client but more specifically clients with unique project pieces.

2. It helps us show the world of potential clients that we are an expert in what we do. It’s important to us that the world sees that we don’t just talk the talk but we also walk the walk. Dustin does not allow anything to leave our shop unless it is perfect. That’s an incredible standard to have but it’s upheld time after time.

“As a perfectionist, if I wouldn’t put it into my own kitchen I wouldn’t let it leave our shop.” – Dustin Devroy

3. We create videos to inspire. Whether you’re thinking about renovating your kitchen or your bathroom, we want to inspire you to expand your parameters of creative thinking. Maybe something we’ve made in the past is a great catalyst for an idea that you have which takes it a step further. Maybe your unique piece will inspire a video which will inspire someone down the road.

We hope that you enjoy our videos and want to know what you think would make them even better. Email us your creative thoughts here and we’ll get back to.

Thanks for reading and have an awesome day!
